*New Field Director – Our new field director and
his family moved into my old apartment here at the Genesis House. They are a
very friendly couple with two sons and a baby girl. One of the first things our
director David did after moving in was host a cookout for the girls at Genesis.
It was a great time of fellowship and food.
*Cultural Fair in Texcoco – Chapingo is one of
the local universities and hosts a cultural fair annually. It was a fun night,
shared with good friends, delicious food, coffee, and shopping. Nights like
these make me feel like I’m in college again … I am so thankful for the
American friends God has brought into my life here in Mexico – some
who are here long term and some who are here just short term.

*Another family of 5 arrived – The 3 girls live at
Genesis and the 2 boys live next door at Esperanza. These 3 girls have
certainly brought a lot of “life” and energy to the house. Not mention that their youngest brother tries to escape from kindergarten daily ...
*2 boys arrived – The brothers are living at Bethel House in
Texcoco and have impressed us with their calm dispositions and respectful
attitudes.

*School Game Day – We cut the school day short
and spent the afternoon playing games and eating together. With all of the new
kids arriving, the Ninos family just keeps growing. It’s such a blessing to see
all of the kids interacting with each other and accepting the new faces.
*Brenda’s Birthday – Brenda came to live at the
Genesis House in July and has a contagious smile that lights up the room. She
may be leaving us to go back to live with her mom sometime in the near future. We made her birthday extra special. Doesn't her picture just melt your heart?!
