And Still Catching Up!

And now a short entry summarizing what happened in May ...

*A younger couple named Ricardo and Betty have been helping out at the Genesis House. The girls really seem to like them and so do I. Betty has been organizing sleepovers with the girls every two weeks and each time, she has different girls in charge of planning the menu, the games, and the movie. It's a great way to have fun together and for the girls to learn how to take responsibility for planning an event.

*PUPPIES, PUPPIES, PUPPIES!!!! Our house dog Koda is now the father of 7 puppies and they have brought a lot of joy to the Genesis home. We have enjoyed taking care of them and watching them grow. Our goal is to sell them, but that will be difficult since we've all grown quite attached. My roommates Amanda, Rachel, and I have been given permission to keep one of the puppies and our now the proud mothers of "Simba." He is adorable!

*We had our all school swimming field trip. This field trip normally signifies that the school year is almost over and that summer has almost begun. But unfortunately, our summer doesn't start until August 8th because of our new year round school schedule. Oh well! We all had fun in the sun and made the most of a day without classes.
