In the beginning of March, something very special and unexpected happened ... We had hail - IN MEXICO!!! After a day of strange weather, the skies finally opened up to a torrential downpour; th

is is extrememly rare because it usually only rains here during the rainy season. As if that wasn't strange enough, all of a sudden, the rain turned to hail pellets. The girls' excitement began to build because hail is the closest thing to snow they have ever seen and will ever see, unless they move to the States later in life. Several of us ran outside to take it all in and play with the hail that was quickly filling the Genesis courtyard. It didn't take long for a hail fight to begin and that was followed by an attempt to build a snowman. Our snowman didn't turn out to well, but I will never forget the excitement in the girls' eyes and the child-like sense of wonder the hail brought to us that night.

It was a reminder to me of God's power, of the way He can do anything, no matter how unlikely or impossible it may seem.
